The excellent Darren Dreger (TSN) just reported that the New Jersey Devils have completed a trade with the Boston Bruins, and it involves young center Pavel Zacha.
Zacha, 25, was drafted 6th overall in 2015 and has 36 points in 70 games in 2021-22. (And 35 points in 50 games in 2020-21)
In exchange, the Bruins give up to the Devils: forward Erik Haula.
Haula, 31, had 44 points and 18 goals in 78 games in 2021-22.
This transaction may have opened the door for the Devils to sign the dynamic Johnny Gaudreau. Stay tuned!
