Phillip Danault signed a six-year, $33 million deal with the Los Angeles Kings on July 28. He ended nearly six years with a Montreal Canadiens jersey on him. He had the chance to play a little more than five seasons at home, in Quebec. A Quebecer who has this chance in his career must seize it, and Danault did so brilliantly.

So, don't think that it's easy for Danault and his family to turn this page in their lives. A beautiful page filled with memories, which was rightly shared by Marie-Pierre Danault, Phil's spouse. She confided, via Instagram, for the first time since the signing of her husband with the Kings.

Here is the message she delivered:

"I don't expose my moods much on social media, that's probably why I've been staying away from Instagram for the past few days, it seems like I needed to process everything that was going on in our life. The new page of a beautiful chapter in our lives is starting to be written, but I hadn't quite closed the previous one yet, " she wrote.

"A six-year chapter of our lives we had the privilege of living at home, our wedding, the birth of our son, new friendships, strong emotions, a Stanley Cup Final. It was hard for me to put into words the feelings I had. A mixture of joy and nostalgia at the same time. Many words to simply say thank you for your support! Thank you for making our Montreal chapter amazing! 🤍 "

This is beautiful. It's touching. It shows how much this family enjoyed their time in Montreal and with the Habs.
