Recently, a rumor on social media mentioned that the New York Islanders had shown interest in Josh Anderson. Patrick Lortie, who is a freelance journalist who runs the blog A Winning Habit.com and also participates in the podcast Puck And Roll claimed that Lou Lamoriello would even be open to giving away the 13th overall pick of the upcoming draft in a deal involving the CH's number 17.

This Tuesday, it's the turn of James Nichols, who follows the Islanders' activities, to put his two cents in on this matter. According to his sources, it would be surprising if this transaction were to occur, because the CH likes to see Anderson paired with Suzuki and Caufield. Kent Hughes would however have a real interest in Quebec forward Anthony Beauvillier.

Beauvillier, who is 25 years old, has two seasons left on his contract which takes up an average of $4.15 million of the club's payroll. In 75 games last season, the 5-foot-11 forward scored 12 goals and added 22 assists for 34 points.

Anderson has five years left on his contract and is averaging $5.5 million on the CHL payroll. The 6-foot-3 power forward had roughly the same stats as Beauvillier with 19 goals and 13 assists for 32 points in 69 games last season.
