The Montreal Canadiens training camp has barely begun and we have already had some bad news, notably involving Nick Suzuki and Joel Edmundson:
- Suzuki has a lower body injury and will have to sit out (at least) two weeks.
- Edmundson has a lower body injury and will be out indefinitely.
- Jake Evans has an upper body injury and is being re-evaluated on a daily basis.
- Josh Anderson has an upper body injury and will be out for a period of time.
On that front, there is some news. See what Renaud Lavoie, journalist for the TVA Sports network, just published:
"I'm told we shouldn't be overly concerned about the severity of the injuries that were announced by the @CanadiansMTL this morning. Paul Byron is the only one trying to recover from the same injury that caused him to miss games last year."
This is about Suzuki here, but also Evans, Edmundson and Anderson.
So that's relatively encouraging, but it's still going to be something to watch closely, over the next few days of camp.
It's really not ideal, especially for Edmundson, Suzuki and Anderson, but Lavoie wanted to reassure the fans.
