Last night, a bomb was dropped in the NHL, as San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane found himself in hot water once again. The latter has received serious accusations from his wife, among others, as Kane would have abandonned her and their children when he declared bankruptcy and he would have made sports bets on his own games.

Obviously, Kane has gambling problems and he will most likely need professional help in order to overcome his demons.

Robin Lehner is a regular on social media. More often than not, he shares his thoughts on a variety of situations, but particularly on mental health issues. He is personally concerned by the subject, as the Swedish stoner has been struggling with these issues for a long time. For a long time, he denied it, but now Lehner is an assertive human being and is not afraid to ask for help when needed, which is to his credit.

Lehner obviously heard about Evander Kane's story, because he took a stand on the issue. He couldn't help but take Kane's side, as he knows the Sharks forward needs help, not to be picked on on social media. So Lehner delivered a powerful message on his Twitter account that will likely change people's perception on the subject.

"I hope Evander continues to work on his gambling addiction problem, which he has admitted to, surrounded by love and support. I wish nothing but the best for the entire family. But the fact that he's being attacked as a father and as a person, it's not fair and frankly, it's nobody's business but his."

"The investigations came very quickly in this case, unlike a lot of other issues that have come up. I can tell you from my experience that I have already had the chance to know Evander and to be in his entourage. We'll see what the investigations say, but from my experience, he's never bet on a hockey game and I hope that's the case."

"It's funny how guilty everyone has become, until proven otherwise. People tend to only believe one side of the story. We've pushed our judgment too far, again. I don't know the facts, but we'll find out in due course."

"How people could understand what a bad father and husband I was while I was dealing with mental health issues, but you attack this individual, who also has issues to deal with on a personal level, I wonder why. That's the question. I hope that everything gets resolved very quickly for everyone involved."

This testimony shows how far Robin Lehner has come in his personal life. He is a person with a lot of wisdom on the matter considering everything he has been through.
