There have been a lot of rumors circulating about Samuel Girard, who was reportedly installed in front of the glass by Joe Sakic, the team's general manager. Girard still has nine points in 12 games this year, but with the rapid emergence of Bowen Byram, he could become the sacrificial lamb.
That being said, the Roberval native is aware of all the rumours circulating about him, having seen his name circulated on social media. When asked about it, Girard answered frankly:
"It's part of the business and you can't control these things. But for sure, I would love to stay in Denver for the rest of my career," said Girard.
It's still sad to know that a 23-year-old with a lot of talent is on the market with the Avalanche logo tattooed on his heart. At the same time, he would look great in Red, White, and Blue, wouldn't he?
