The Montreal Canadiens have demoted Cayden Primeau to their AHL team, the Laval Rocket, which indicates that Jake Allen is on his way back.
Allen is sidelined with a concussion following a head-on collision with Detroit Wings captain Dylan Larkin.
The 22-year-old goaltender will be able to continue his apprenticeship with Jean-François Houle, who seems to be stagnating in his development. In his two games with the CH this year, he has maintained a 4.82 GAA and .877 SV%.
Primeau needs to keep games, dominate, and build enough confidence to settle in the NHL. Right now, he doesn't have what it takes to play in the league.
