The Kraken take on the Anaheim Ducks at 10 PM. on Wednesday.
For the occasion, head coach Dave Hakstol has officially unveiled his lineup, and it's probably a disappointment for young Shane Wright:
Burakovsky-Beniers-McCann
Schwartz-Wennberg-Bjorkstrand
Tanev-Gourde-Eberle
Donato-Wright-Kuhlman
Defenders:
Dunn-Schultz
Oleksiak-Larsson
Soucy-Borgen
Fleury
Goalies:
Grubauer
Jones
After spending most of training camp on the first two lines, Wright will have to start the season on the fourth line without any minutes on the power play.
You can guess that this is causing a stir on social networks.
It will be difficult for him to produce under these circumstances, but it will be interesting to watch his progress over the next few weeks.
Wright, 18 years old and drafted 4th overall in 2022, had 94 points and 32 goals, in 63 OHL games in 2021-2022. He had a mixed pre-draft schedule (which explains his current deployment).
Finally, Juraj Slafkovsky will start the season on the Montreal Canadiens' third line (with Christian Dvorak and Brendan Gallagher).
