The excellent Anthony Martineau (TVA Sports) continues his very interesting coverage of the 2022 NHL Combine and he often reports on what some of the top prospects are saying. We love it!
Yesterday, it was the turn of a certain Shane Wright.
Once again, the youngster was very direct and clear about his intentions: he really wants to become a Montreal Canadiens player. He even followed Juraj Slafkovsky's lead and revealed the identity of the two players he would like to play with:
"Shane Wright, on the players he would like to play with the CH:
"Cole Caufield. Every center player dreams of a scorer like him. And Brendan Gallagher for his uncommon and contagious passion."" - Anthony Martineau, reporting from Shane Wright Interesting answer! Imagine this trio: Caufield - Wright - Gallagher
Clearly, we can see that Wright has done his homework and already knows his possible future new teammates well.
His style of play could fit perfectly with Caufield and Gally:
"People who talk about me as a player who lacks intensity don't understand the way I play. I'm a cerebral, methodical guy. I pick my moments to explode."" - Anthony Martineau, reporting from Shane Wright
How would you like him to be the CH's pick?
