A fan attempted to simulate the entire career of Juraj Slafkovsky, via the platform of the newest NHL game, from EA Sports. The exercise is rather lightweight and highly speculative, but interesting.
According to this simulation, Slafkovsky has played no less than 19 seasons in the NHL and he started his career with the Laval Rocket. (AHL)
Other interesting items:
- Slafkovsky makes his NHL debut in 2023-24, and he amasses 19 goals and 54 points, a solid rookie season.
- In 2035, after 14 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens and an 82 point season, Slaf decided to test the free agent market and finally signed for one year at $10.24M with... the Carolina Hurricanes! You just can't make this stuff up (even in simulations, they steal Habs players)
- Slafkovsky retires with the Florida Panthers in 2041.
- He ends his career after playing 1445 games in the NHL, and after having collected 365 goals and 1286 points in total.
In this simulation, Shane Wright retired the same year as Slafkovsky and had 1416 points in 1465 games.
Obviously, it's summer and this is to be taken lightly, but it's interesting to see:
