The Montreal Canadiens have been one of the most popular sports teams in the world for several years. On the other hand, based on the video of the evolution of the popularity of the NHL teams, the Bleu-blanc-rouge is not as popular as the Toronto Maple, for example.
We can also see that the Flames were very popular in 2004, among others. The Sabres in 2006 were a team of caliber, which had quite a popularity rating. The Flames are back in 2019, the Canadiens have nothing to do with the Leafs, unfortunately. Leafs fans show that they are there even in the worst moments of the team, which is great.
We also see that the Jonathan Toews Hawks have had their share of glory, making them a very popular team from 2014.
In short, watch the video, it's very cool to see the evolution of the popularity of the teams. It also reminds us of why a team was popular at a certain time.
