The BIG news of the day for the Montreal Canadiens

The leader in question is Paul Byron, who put on his skates on Thursday morning, when he seemed very comfortable. I remind you that the little number 41 had hip surgery last July and the duration of his rehabilitation was estimated at five months. He underwent his surgery in New York at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) by Dr. Bryan Kelly.
Byron is still a very important leader in the organization, and he will certainly be able to fill in for a guy like Cedric Paquette, who is currently suspended, when he is ready to return to action.
However, even if Byron, who collected 16 points in 46 games last season, is back on the ice, he is still far from being back with his comrades. We're talking about the end of December, but he seems to be progressing faster than the original schedule.
In short, his return will certainly be beneficial for the team since his leadership is one of the strongest in the Montreal Canadiens' current core.
