If you want to see something positive about the Habs organization right now, you shouldn't look at the NHL. On the other hand, if we look at what is happening in the QMJHL, we can find some positive things about the Tricolore.
Currently, there are a total of three CH prospects in the top-10 of QMJHL scorers. This is great news!
What is even more good news is that the top two scorers in the Courteau circuit belong to the Habs. They are Joshua Roy and Xavier Simoneau. Riley Kidney completes the trio in eighth place.
Joshua Roy had a big night last night with four points in the win over the Victoriaville Tigres. Roy stepped up at the right time as he set up his team's fourth goal with the game still tied. A few minutes later, he scored his team's fifth goal and they escaped with a 6-4 win over the Tigres.
These three CH prospects were selected in the last National Hockey League Entry Draft. Moreover, they represent fairly late selections. Apart from Kidney who was a late second round selection, Roy and Simoneau are fifth and sixth round picks.
Will these three players continue their success this year? Will they come in and shake things up in the future and break into the Tricolore lineup?
