This is obviously not a surprise, with the sad circumstances we know and the announcements of the last few weeks regarding Carey Price, but we must admit that seeing this image is sad.
It's nothing against Samuel Montembeault, who now occupies Carey's locker.
We just realize that Carey Price has obviously played his last game in the National Hockey League, his last game with the Montreal Canadiens.
It is significant that he has lost his place in the locker room for the first time in almost 15 years. The organization has turned the page, and a whole page.
It's a detail, but a detail that really speaks volumes. Even Shea Weber still had his locker a few months ago, imagine that.
Thanks again for everything, Carey!
