As we reported in the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have finally announced their latest cuts.
Justin Barron has been cut:
And the winners were: Xhekaj, Slafkovsky, Harris and Pezzetta. They work out with the team while five of their teammates have been cut (Barron, RHP, Ylonen, Primeau, Leskinen). - JF Poirier
So we understand that Arber Xhekaj, Juraj Slafkovsky, Jordan Harris and Michael Pezzetta will all start the season with the Montreal Canadiens.
One small caveat.
With some of the injured returning, that could change quickly, and some of the names above (like Pezzetta) could be demoted to Laval, but officially, Xhekaj, Slafkovsky, Harris and Pezzetta have cracked the Habs' starting lineup to begin the new season. Good for them!
