In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization announced that they had placed the names of defensemen Corey Schueneman and Madison Bowey on waivers, with the goal of sending them to the Laval Rocket.
"The Canadiens have placed Mr. Bowey and C. Schueneman on waivers with the goal of sending them to the Laval Rocket." - Montreal Canadiens
Interesting reinforcement for the Rocket, but a bit of a surprise in the case of Schueneman. He could have very well filled a sixth or seventh defenseman role with the big club.
"Minor surprise, the Habs have placed defenseman Corey Schueneman's name on waivers, in addition to Madison Bowey. It should be noted that Otto Leskinen, on the other hand, does not have to go through waivers." - Marc Antoine Godin
Will Leskinen cause a surprise and start the season in Montreal? To be continued!
