The Seattle Kraken are just beginning to make their NHL history, but that hasn't stopped them from facing big obstacles. The team has just received a slap in the face, if not an uppercut: five players are on the NHL's "Covid-19" protocol.
The players in question are Jared McCann, Calle Jarnkrok, Marcus Johansson, Joonas Donskoi and Jamie Oleksiak. At this time, it is unknown if this group of players will be able to compete tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights in the first game in franchise history. Head coach Dave Hakstol did not release any further details.
We're talking about a big core of the roster here, but what's most worrisome is the word "COVID-19", which is looming large as the season gets underway. Everyone wants to have a normal season after two sacrificed, right?
