In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens organization quickly confirmed a very sad news... Injured, Paul Byron will not return to play tonight.
Given the quickness at which the news was confirmed, it doesn't bode well for the health of the fast little Habs forward.
See the sequence in which Byron was injured:
There are many reactions:
«For someone who worked very hard for a long time to get back on the ice, it really sucks." -Arpon Basu, The Athletic
«I refuse, not again! - Marc-André Perreault, TVA Sports
Really hope it's not too major, but it looks bad, and Byron himself looked really frustrated with the situation.
Remember that he has just returned to the game, after long months of recovery. We will probably have more news after the game, during the press conferences.
Update: As for Josh Anderson, who received a puck in the face, at the time of this writing, we are still awaiting news from the organization of the Canadiens. We'll see if he's on the bench to start the third period.
More details to come...
