On this Friday morning, exactly one week after the announcement of the sad death of Mike Bossy, the great Guy Lafleur passed away.
How sad to hear this.
Lafleur unfortunately lost his battle with lung cancer and passed away at the age of 70.
This has been confirmed by his family and close friends, and you can guess that the testimonies are already very numerous. We are talking about one of the greats in the history of hockey and in the history of our province.
He is the idol of many generations.
During his legendary hockey career, the Blond Demon left his mark on everyone's mind and had a huge impact on so many young and old.
In 17 seasons, he amassed an incredible 560 goals and 1353 points in 1126 games.
As reported by our colleagues at Marqueur.com, Guy Lafleur is also: three Art Ross trophies, two Hart trophies, a Conn-Smythe and most importantly, five Stanley Cups.
Our condolences to the family and friends, because above all, Guy was an extraordinary man, friend, father, brother and loved one to many.
Rest in peace, Mr. Lafleur.
