With a season long overdue, the Montreal Canadiens should take the opportunity to test a player from the Laval Rocket. A player who, thanks to his work ethic and his attitude, deserves a few days in the pros. His name? Rafaël Harvey-Pinard.
During Sunday's game, RHP was the conductor of the orchestra, scoring the winning goal and imposing himself as the leader of the pack. The small, dynamic forward, wearing the number 11, allowed two goals, including the winner, I remind you, as well as an assist. He was spectacular and also received the first star of the game.
So far, he has 12 points, including five goals, in 23 games. But in addition to his statistics, which are a little below expectations, he has an infectious energy. He infects his teammates with his attitude, his work ethic, his determination and his smile. He is the prototype around which to build a culture.
The 5-foot-9, 22-year-old forward could bring a unique dose to an amorphous team. With this group's current outfit, what does Jeff Gorton have to lose? Call him back and get the team ready for next season...already!
