On this Monday morning on The Athletic, renowned tipster Pierre LeBrun published a really interesting article, in which he has fun linking players who will most likely be traded in the coming weeks, to destinations.

Of course, let's remember that LeBrun has strong sources and contacts within the National Hockey League, so there is a basis behind these connections.

In his exercise, Pierre LeBrun sends, among others:

Jakob Chychrun to the Los Angeles Kings

Ryan O'Reilly to the Toronto Maple Leafs

Luke Schenn to the Boston Bruins

John Klingberg to the Seattle Kraken

Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers

and

Sean Monahan to the Colorado Avalanche.

As for the Montreal Canadiens and the Colorado Avalanche, LeBrun explains that Bo Horvat is a "sexier" name for the defending Stanley Cup champions and their fans. However, LeBrun believes that it would not be smart for them to pay the big price for Horvat right now.

He believes that the Avalanche will instead turn to Sean Monahan and he thinks that Kent Hughes and his counterpart can agree on a trade, as they did last season for Artturi Lehkonen (depending on the Habs' demands).

It would be a significant trade.

"Monahan could play anywhere in Colorado's top-9. The two teams agreed on Artturi Lehkonen a year ago, and in my opinion, this one makes sense too. (The Monahan trade to the Avalanche) Monahan will be back from injury soon, and before he came back, he was showing everyone that he's back to being the Monahan of the good old days." - Pierre LeBrun

What would you ask the Av's about Monahan?
