As we reported in the last few minutes, it is now official and confirmed, Joel Edmundson will be back in the game tonight:
The Montreal Canadiens currently have 24 players in their lineup, and the maximum allowed is 23. Kent Hughes must move between now and 5pm.
Hughes had three options to comply: make a trade, place a player on waivers or send a player with the Laval Rocket.
As reported by Patrick Friolet of RDS, one option can be crossed out:
"Obviously, the CH ends up with one too many players.
24 players, when the limit is 23...
If Edmundson plays, a personnel move is needed today. That move can't be the waivers because it's too late.
So, a player to Laval or a trade."
By 17:00, a player will therefore visibly be traded by the Montreal Canadiens, or simply sent to the AHL. To be continued
