Is there a turnaround in sight for Hughes and the Canadiens today? An important trade seems to be in the works

Today, all eyes are on Kent Hughes, Martin St-Louis and Joel Edmondson for the Montreal Canadiens.
Will Edmundson be back in the lineup today?
Who will Kent Hughes trade, waive or send back to Laval to get Edmundson back in the lineup? Who will Martin St-Louis send to the stands on defense?
We'll know today, unless...?
A possible turnaround in sight.
Yesterday, Martin St. Louis was really talking like Edmundson was clearly going to play today, he talked about "big odds of a return to action" for the veteran defenseman, but little surprise, he's still not on the NHL roster for tonight's game. (as reported by Charles-Alexis Brisebois)
What does this mean?
It simply means that there is no confirmation in his case, and that the tide could turn, but it's also imperative to know that the NHL roster can be adjusted during the day. (Edmundson could be added)
On the other hand, it could also mean that Kent Hughes is still unsure of the "move" to make, to put Edmundson back in the lineup.
If he was going to send someone back to Laval, it would probably already be done. So we may have reason to believe that he is working on a trade or a layoff.
To be continued! It should be a very interesting day.
"Kent Hughes is (likely) working on trading a problematic forward. If it happens during the day, the CH can free up a spot and incorporate Edmundson to have a 14 forward, seven defenseman and two goaltender formula.
Mike Hoffman, Jonathan Drouin and Evgenii Dadonov, who is becoming more and more of a problem, are candidates to leave... but who will want them? I don't see who would take them right now." - InTheSluts For details:
