In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization has done its famous complete medical check-up, and it's worse than we thought.
Check out the details:
"Kaiden Guhle will miss at least eight weeks of activity due to a lower body injury." - Montreal Canadiens
"Brendan Gallagher will be out for a minimum of two weeks with a lower-body injury." - Montreal Canadiens
"Mike Matheson and Sean Monahan skated this morning. They are progressing well, but will miss another two weeks of activity due to lower body injuries." - Montreal Canadiens In the case of Guhle, let's try to weigh our words here, but this is really bad news. He was already one of the big pillars on defense, and this injury will set back his impressive development.
Remember that, according to François Gagnon of RDS, his season could be in jeopardy.
As for Matheson and Monahan, two other very important players that Kent Hughes could possibly trade at a high price, we thought they were about to return to the game, but no. They will miss several more games.
"Hopefully Sean Monahan will be back in time to perform a bit before the trade deadline!" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
Let's just say the CH's season has really just gotten tougher.
More details to follow.
