Journalist Elliotte Friedman continues to do an excellent job of keeping us well informed on the "Martin St-Louis" file. It seems to be one of (if not the) file he follows the most closely.

Will St-Louis be back as head coach of the Habs next season, or not? Publicly, we are told that the decision will be made at the end of the season and that the ball really seems to be in the court of the current interim head coach of the Tricolore.

Will he want to commit himself (and his family) to this crazy adventure for the long term?

Friedman is indeed working hard behind the scenes to find out more, and as puckempire reports, there's news today.

Check out what the main guy mentioned recently, on the subject:

Martin St. Louis, on when he'll make his decision to coach next year (or not): "I'm just thinking about the end of the 2022 season. Right now, it wouldn't be fair to the players, to anyone, for me to focus on that (his decision to return next year or not). Things take their course, we just have to keep the focus on what we're trying to do right now."

On Thursday, during an appearance on Sportsnet, the reputable tipster mentioned this:

"It's expected that Martin St.Louis will be back as the head coach of the Canadiens next season." - Elliotte Friedman

To be taken with a grain of salt, but still very very encouraging! More details to follow.
