Tomas Plekanec played 1001 games in the NHL, 984 of which were in a Montreal Canadiens jersey. "Pleky" has this team very close to his heart, and he has the Habs logo tattooed on it.
That said, as a man of few words, the former number 14 who proudly wore turtlenecks spoke out on Twitter about the speech Marc Bergevin offered following his firing.
He shared the text in question, then commented on it with emojis that say it all. I guess he was emotional, as he said that's all he could say about it, which is emojis.
It certainly shows that Plekanec enjoyed working with Marc Bergevin, who gave him a chance to win by sending him to Toronto, but then bringing him back with the Habs so he could retire as a member of the CH.
You can feel the respect "Pleky" has for Bergevin!
