As you know, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens made an important trade on Thursday when center Sean Monahan came to town (along with a first round pick):
As you saw in the article above, this is a very complicated trade, with many, many conditions.
To simplify this for you, the excellent tipster Chris Johnston has put together a good summary of each of the possibilities for Kent Hughes with this famous first round pick.
"Depending on how the trade terms play out following the Sean Monahan deal, Montreal could potentially end up with one of the following picks:
2024 1st round (CGY)
2025 1st round (CGY)
2025 1st round (FLA)
2026 1st round (CGY)
2026 1st round (FLA)
