After a day off, the Montreal Canadiens will resume practice today, but we have just learned that it will be without defenseman Jeff Petry.
He has just returned to the game after suffering a fairly significant injury, will not participate in today's practice, he will have to leave in order to receive treatment.
He hadn't missed a practice since his return until today. So, clearly, this is not good news, but let's wait and see what Martin St-Louis will have to say on the subject, at the press conference, in a few hours.
We'll know then if Petry will have to miss any games.
"Jeff Petry will not participate in today's (treatment day) practice." - Montreal Canadiens
Petry, 34, has 20 points (4 goals) in 62 games this season. He is under contract until 2025 and earns $6.25 million per year.
More details to follow!
