For the past few days, we have known that a very big name has been placed on the NHL trade market.
The Chicago Blackhawks are listening carefully to offers and are open to trading scorer Alex DeBrincat.
THERE'S SOME NEWS.
Today, thanks to information from the excellent Pierre LeBrun, we finally know the price to pay to acquire him.
"LeBrun reveals that the Blackhawks are listening to offers for Alex DeBrincat. [...] In exchange, Chicago wants: a younger, already NHL-caliber player / a high draft pick / a solid prospect. LeBrun adds that the Kings are one of the teams interested." - NHL Watcher
We see here that the price tag is very high (with good reason).
DeBrincat, 24, has 78 points and 41 goals, in 82 games this season in Chicago. Despite his small stature, he has never missed a game in the NHL, or nearly.
In 2020-21, he produced at a rate of 90 points / 82 games, while leading his team in differential (with +3). He's really solid!
Would you like to see Kent Hughes take a chance?
