We now know what the Canadiens have to offer to hope to acquire Johnny Gaudreau
Some Canadiens fans are dreaming of seeing elite forward Johnny Gaudreau sign with Montreal this summer.
He will be free as a bird and looking for a new contract, after amassing 115 points in 82 games this season. Solid!
However, there is an important question here: what kind of contract should he be offered to accept to move to the city?
Well, according to what Giana Han, a reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports, Gaudreau should (and will) get over $9M for his new contract.
There is also talk of an 8-year contract.
Let's remember here that the favorite team to sign Gaudreau this summer remains the Philadelphia Flyers. This is also what Han mentioned.
Gaudreau has already stated clearly that he could be interested in playing for his childhood team one day, the Philadelphia Flyers. However, in the end, the team that offers him the most attractive contract may win this big derby.
Will it be the Montreal Canadiens? I highly doubt it, but at least we now know the price.
