As we enter the next season, the 2021-22 schedule, predictions for the next trophies have started to show up. The one that interests us today is the Vézina Trophy, given to the best goaltender in the NHL. The man who won the award in 2021 is none other than Marc-André Fleury, the new acquisition of the Chicago Hawks, who won the award for the first time in his career.

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, considered the best goaltender on the planet for the past three years, finished second in the race ahead of Philipp Grubauer, now with the Seattle Kraken. Vasilevskiy won this award in 2019, while Carey Price, on the other hand, did in 2015. At the time of writing this brief post, where do Fleury, Vasilevskiy, Grubauer and Price fit into this prediction for the Vézina?

According to the BETMGM platform, Price, despite being 34 years old, is in the top 5 of this horoscope. Price sits in fourth place, with a +1000 rating, tied with Semyon Varlamov of the New York Islanders and Connor Hellebuyck of the Winnipeg Jets. Andrei Vasilevkiy is at the top (+400), followed by Philipp Grubauer (+800) and Marc-André Fleury, also at +800.

Carey Price may have undergone knee surgery, but that doesn't mean he's not a favorite for the ultimate honor. If everything goes as planned during his rehabilitation, he should not miss many games, maybe even none. Let's hope everything goes according to plan for number 31, who will have a big job to do in 2021-22... when he will be without his great friend and captain, Shea Weber.
