With less than two days to go before the infamous NHL trade deadline last night, the Anaheim Ducks made the decision to follow the Montreal Canadiens' lead and cut key players from the roster in order to avoid an injury in preparation for a trade.
We can therefore confirm (99%) that the excellent Rickard Rakell and Hampus Lindholm will be traded by Monday, 3pm. They were left out yesterday and played their last game in Anaheim.
As for Lindholm, the Ducks will certainly want as much, if not more than the Habs received for Ben Chiarot, a deal that helps them. (It's good for the Habs that Chiarot has already been traded, because interested teams could have easily gone for Lindholm)
Lindholm, 28, has 22 points in 61 games this season. He was drafted 6th overall in 2012.
Rakell, 28, has 28 points in 51 games this season (16 goals).
Where would you see them being traded?
