Arber Xhekaj apologized to one of his sponsors after his demotion to the Rocket earlier this season
As you know, Arber Xhekaj has quickly become a favorite among Montreal Canadiens fans.
He has earned their respect and has been given the nickname "Sheriff".
Moreover, as we reported a few months ago, at the very start of the campaign, Xhekaj launched a partnership with the sports microbrewery La Chambre to create a themed burger: The Sheriff.
He encouraged a local business!
But following his unexpected demotion to the Laval Rocket, all advertisements were paused, and the campaign was halted.
Arber Xhekaj took a step that says a lot about him
As reported by William Boivin, from InfoLNH, following this whole situation, Xhekaj himself decided to call the owner of La Chambre to apologize. Wow.
He absolutely did not have to do it, but he did! He apologized for being sent down to the Laval Rocket, imagine...
This story was also discussed on the airwaves of BPM Sports:
«The guy is so awesome, that when he was sent down to the Rocket, he called us to apologize.
He was thanking us and telling us that we supported him nonetheless. We stopped our campaigns because we didn't want to bother him with anything. When he came back to the Canadiens, we asked him if he was still interested.»
- Éric Champoux in an interview with Max Lalonde on BPM Sports
This shows the great class of the individual!
However, curiously, here's what Boivin also reports:
«We also noticed that the excerpt of this mention in the interview was cut from this video.»
Bizarre...
