The Montreal Canadiens have just announced two lineup changes ahead of tonight's game vs the New York Rangers. One involving Jakub Dobes and the other involving Owen Beck.
First of all, the Habs have decided to call up a forward from the Laval Rocket to replace Emil Heineman (who is injured).
Until now, Heineman's replacement had been Michael Pezzetta, but he was only playing 2 to 3 minutes per game, effectively leaving Martin St-Louis with just 11 forwards.
This is likely to change with Beck's call-up.

RDS journalist Patrick Friolet has just confirmed that Beck will indeed be in uniform tonight at the Bell Centre!
This will be Beck's third game in three nights, which isn't ideal for the young player, but at least he's likely to thrive on adrenaline.
Owen Beck, 20 years old, 6 feet tall, and weighing 199 pounds, was the 33rd overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2022 (2nd round).
He has accumulated 25 points in 37 games this season with the Laval Rocket (9 goals), 22 penalty minutes, and a positive +9 rating.
The Habs' management ultimately chose Beck over players like Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Alex Barré-Boulet, Jared Davidson, and others.
Let's not forget that Joshua Roy is currently injured.
