We have a significant turn of events for Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine. Recently, the Habs announced that Laine was dealing with an upper-body injury, which caused some concern.
However, we have a pleasant surprise today.
Everything seems fine for Laine!
This is indeed a 180-degree turn from the recent updates circulating over the past few days, but we certainly won't complain about this reversal.
Patrik Laine is in his position, and everything indicates that he will play tomorrow!
We even have footage, live from the Montreal Canadiens practice in Florida.
Laine is practicing at 100%, wearing a regular jersey with no restrictions.
This could confirm the theory that the Canadiens simply decided to pull Laine from the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets as a precautionary measure, given how physical his former teammates were with him (and his left shoulder).
Patrik Laine is in his spot for practice. The tall Finn is on the ice with the team.
As expected, on the eve of a back-to-back and coming out of the Christmas break, there is a LOT of energy right from the start of the Canadiens' practice.
High tempo, great plays, and a Patrik Laine in top form!
