The Montreal Canadiens organization has just made an announcement, with three players being assigned to the Laval Rocket.

There will be numerous personnel moves announced today, so please note that this is just the beginning. Unsurprisingly, Kent Hughes has sent the first three players down to the farm team.

Forwards Lucas Condotta, Brandon Gignac, and defenseman William Trudeau are returning to the Laval Rocket.

Pascal Vincent is getting some reinforcements.

Trudeau, 21 years old, is a left-handed defenseman from Varennes, Quebec, and was a fourth-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2021 (113th overall).

Last season with the Laval Rocket, he collected 24 points in 70 games while being highly responsible at both ends of the ice. The Habs' management holds him in high regard, and rightly so.

Condotta, 26 years old, is a forward standing 6'1" and weighing 217 pounds. Despite a modest production in the AHL (19 points in 65 games in 2023-2024), he is often among the first players called up from the Laval Rocket by Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton. He is a very reliable player and carries himself like a true veteran.

Gignac, also 26, is a forward from Repentigny, Quebec, and was a third-round pick by the New Jersey Devils in 2016 (80th overall).

Last season with the Laval Rocket, he posted a solid 55 points in 61 games, plus an additional goal in 7 games with the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL.

Details to follow.
