The Quebec-born forward in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, Cédric Paré, just dropped the gloves in the AHL.

In a preseason game against the Belleville Senators, Paré dropped the gloves against Djibril Touré in the third period, and it turned out to be quite a quick bout.

Paré, who is in his very first season within the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, is trying to make a mark with his new management.

He's clearly looking to stand out, while also recovering from the unfortunate incident involving Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine.

Cédric Paré Makes a Name for Himself with the Toronto Marlies

Let's remember that Paré was recently cut by the Maple Leafs, so for now, his journey continues with the Marlies.

Paré, 25 years old, is a center from Lévis (Quebec), standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 212 pounds.

He was a sixth-round pick by the Boston Bruins in the 2017 NHL Draft (173rd overall) and collected 35 points in 61 games with the Colorado Avalanche's AHL affiliate last season.

That was his best season to date.

In total, Paré has recorded 69 points in the AHL since turning pro after five seasons in the QMJHL, where he played for the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Rimouski Océanic.

In his final season in Rimouski, he racked up 88 points in 64 games, playing alongside a certain Alexis Lafrenière.

It will certainly be interesting to track his progress within the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.
