Kent Hughes makes an announcement regarding the trade market and reveals he's not done yet
With the acquisition of Patrik Laine in recent weeks, one might think that Kent Hughes' work on the trade market is finished.
However, as reported by the website Marqueur, it seems that the Canadiens' general manager is still very active behind the scenes.
At least, that's what he told Tony Marinaro in a recent interview on BPM Sports, where he expressed that he was very happy with his recent acquisitions and also mentioned that he's far from completing the rebuilding process of his team.
Kent Hughes' work is not done
Here is his exact statement:
«We are very satisfied with our draft, we are very happy to have acquired Patrik Laine, but we are still far from having completed our work.»
These are very encouraging words from him as he embarks on his third full season with the Canadiens organization.
For now, it's unclear what Kent Hughes is planning, as he has become known for making late personnel moves during his past three offseasons in Montreal.
One thing is certain, especially knowing that he made an attempt with Yaroslav Askarov, it clearly shows that Hughes is not sitting idle in the trade market, even after making a great move with Patrik Laine.
Below is the perfect example:
