Notably, forward Max Domi made an unacceptable play against young sensation Lane Hutson.
A questionable move (a cross-check right to the face), and understandably, it didn't sit well with commentator Pierre Houde.
Domi was penalized on the play.
Pierre Houde, the commentator for the Montreal Canadiens games, unusually shared his discontent on television.
Do you think this deserves further discipline?
Fortunately, Lane Hutson got back up and didn't seem too shaken by the play, but let's just say it wasn't Max Domi's finest moment.
Max Domi, 29 years old, is a 5-foot-10, 208-pound forward. He was the 12th overall pick by the Phoenix Coyotes in 2013 (1st round) and has accumulated 417 points in 661 career games in the National Hockey League.
He also has 630 career penalty minutes, including 118 penalty minutes in 80 games last season with the Maple Leafs.
As for the young defenseman Lane Hutson, it's worth mentioning once again that he's the best player on the Montreal Canadiens tonight. He's incredible.
I truly believe we can confidently say that he'll be part of Martin St-Louis' lineup for the first game of the season.
Also note that William Nylander left the game in the first period after getting injured by his own teammate Nick Robertson:
