We're taking a moment to talk about the Montreal Canadiens organization's third-tier team in the ECHL, the Trois-Rivières Lions.

They are currently in 23rd place in the league's overall standings (out of 28), with a record of 23-26-4-3, and they have just acquired a defenseman.

A name well known to fans of Baie-Comeau and Chicoutimi, in particular.

A New Name for CH, Laval Rocket, and Lions Fans to Watch: Keenan MacIsaac

See the official statement:

"The Trois-Rivières Lions have announced the signing of defenseman Keenan MacIsaac.

He will provide good support to the team in the final stretch of the season being a very mobile defenseman capable of making an impact in both ends of the ice!" - Lions 3-R

MacIsaac, 24, is indeed a former QMJHL player.

He played for the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar between 2015 and 2020, gathering close to 100 points in 267 career games in the junior ranks.

He now leaves the university ranks to join the Lions.

Here's a name that could make it to the next Montreal Canadiens training camp, just like a John Parker-Jones.
