Sounds like there will be a hearing for Carson Soucy out of the end-of-game scrum in Edmonton last night
A hearing does not automatically mean that Carson Soucy will be suspended. However, with the violent nature of this play and the star player on the receiving end, a suspension is more likely than not. A report from Darren Dreger confirms the hearing will be via phone which means any suspension will likely be short.
Details are being ironed out but Carson Soucy will face league punishment for his end of game crosscheck on McDavid. A phone hearing is being arranged to manage the matter.
