In the last few minutes, Martin St-Louis has revealed his decision regarding Patrik Laine's replacement.

It is Joel Armia who will get the first opportunity alongside Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook on the Canadiens' second line, replacing Patrik Laine, who, as you know, will miss two to three months of action.

Joel Armia replaces Patrik Laine, and Martin St-Louis makes significant changes to his lines

We now officially have the Montreal Canadiens' first lines for the 2024-2025 season! Here they are:

We can indeed see several significant changes. In fact, all the lines have been completely reshuffled, except for the first line, which remains intact.

It's interesting to note that Emil Heineman will start on the third line, ahead of Josh Anderson, and Oliver Kapanen will clearly need to be patient.

And you, what are your thoughts on these initial line combinations deployed by head coach Martin St-Louis?

Joel Armia, 31 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 216-pound forward who was the 16th overall pick in 2011 (16th overall) and recorded 25 points, including 17 goals, in 66 games last season with the Canadiens.

He also added 6 goals in 8 games with the Laval Rocket.

Let's just say his 2024 training camp is ending much better than his 2023 camp.

Details to follow.
