These whispers have been heard since the beginning of the day, and some even believe this is the exact reason why Laine had a "treatment day" on Saturday, but now it's confirmed!

Lane Hutson, Arber Xhekaj, Adam Engstrom, Logan Mailloux, Oliver Kapanen, and Luke Tuch will also be in uniform against the Flyers.»

Patrik Laine, 26 years old, was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets on August 19 (along with a 2026 second-round pick) in exchange for young defenseman Jordan Harris.
