The NHL is set to reach a turning point in the broadcasting of its games starting this fall, and this involves the Montreal Canadiens.

Amazon, Rogers Communications, and the National Hockey League (NHL) have signed a historic two-year deal in Canada for Monday night games to be broadcast on Prime Video.

Prime Monday Night Hockey will broadcast all games taking place in Canada every Monday night, with English coverage.

Here is Amazon's official statement following this historic agreement.

«With Prime Monday Night Hockey, we are giving our customers even more value through their Prime membership. We are committed to further innovating for fans by bringing the NHL into more Canadian homes and onto more devices than ever before on Monday nights.»

- Magda Grace, Head of Prime Video for Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

As for the National Hockey League, they expressed their excitement about working with Amazon and Rogers on this significant project, and it feels like this is something they are truly thrilled about.
