It didn't take long, but the Nashville Predators have clearly already seen enough of Justin Barron. They have already removed him from their regular lineup.
He is now back in the stands, and all signs point to him staying there because their head coach Andrew Brunette has shown absolutely no confidence in Barron.
It must be said that the first two games in Nashville for the former Montreal Canadiens defenseman were very difficult.
He played 13 minutes in his first game and only 6 minutes in his second, with a negative differential of -3.
I believe Barry Trotz is already beginning to bitterly regret his trade.
Justin Barron Already Scratched from the Nashville Predators' Lineup, Organization Announces
While Alexandre Carrier is a solid top-4 defenseman for the Canadiens, it's unfortunately the complete opposite for Barron in Nashville.
This seems to confirm what TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie mentioned this morning:
Let's hope things can turn around for JB.
Alexandre Carrier, on the other hand, has four points in five games with the Montreal Canadiens, with a positive differential of +3, and he's becoming a solid top-4 defenseman for Martin St. Louis.
He could really be a cornerstone for the Habs' defense for many years to come.
Details to follow.
