Scandal: Breaking Major Announcement for Goalie Carter Hart, Officially Placed on Inactive Player List
While many fans are wondering what will happen with the five players accused in connection with the "Team Canada Junior 2018" scandal, there is new information.
The Flyers Make a Big Decision Regarding Carter Hart
We will probably have more details on February 5th, but for now, the Flyers have made their short-term decision regarding Hart.
"The management of the Philadelphia Flyers has decided not to waste any time before officially dissociating themselves from their number one goalie, Carter Hart.
Today, as reported by the specialized site Cap Friendly, they have removed Hart's name from the active player list of the organization."
- Marco Normandin
That's it! It didn't take long.
This move speaks volumes and could indicate a possible contract termination coming up (according to several) for the goalie.
Hart is currently in the last year of a contract earning him $3,979 million per year. He will be a restricted free agent (RFA) this summer.
Will he re-sign? Many experts doubt it.
Details to follow.
