As reported by TVA Sports, the young Alonso has indeed been expelled from the Olympic Village in Paris due to her behavior.
Luana Alonso expelled from the Paris Olympic Village
At the moment, it is said to be due to an "inappropriate atmosphere" caused by the 20-year-old athlete, but it seems that the spokespersons are being cautious with their words.
«The Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso has been expelled from the Olympic Village by the head of her delegation, who accuses her of creating an 'inappropriate atmosphere' within the group.»
- TVA Sports
For it to lead directly to her exclusion, it must be quite serious.
Please note that Alonso has not had a very successful Olympic run, as she failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the 100-meter butterfly.
Subsequently, she outright announced her retirement.
«The general director of the Paraguayan delegation, Larissa Schaerer, did not specify the nature of the behaviors she reproaches this athlete for, only stating that her presence had a negative effect on her team.»
- TVA Sports
Alonso is now back in the United States, where she studies at a University in Texas and has gained many followers on social media.
Please note that she holds several Paraguayan records in swimming, having been on the international competitive scene since her teenage years.
