Joel Armia and Patrik Laine Absent from Finland's Practice, Cause Unknown
We witnessed a special scene today, live from Brossard, during Finland's team practice. It's important to note that all four official teams practiced today, still at the CN Sports Complex, in preparation for the tournament.
All players from all teams took to the ice-except for two.
And those two are Montreal Canadiens players competing for Finland's team.
Let's remember that the official competition kicks off this Wednesday.
You can guess this caught some attention:
«Only 11 skaters and two goalies at Finland's practice.
Strange..
Joel Armia and Patrik Laine are not on the ice.»

This will be a situation to monitor, but for now, there's no indication that it's injury-related.
«The Finns were the last to take the ice in Brossard, and right away, something stood out.
The Habs players, Joel Armia and Patrik Laine, were not on the ice with the rest of their teammates.»
Marc-Olivier Cook
Yes, Finland is already completely depleted by injuries-even before the tournament begins..
«Finland has only 11 skaters on the ice today, decimated by injuries.
We shouldn't expect much in terms of determining their lineup today or where Haula will play.
We'll wait to see when they are closer to a full roster.»
Amanda Stein
But for now, as mentioned earlier, there's no indication that Laine and Armia are injured.
