The Winnipeg Jets Make an Announcement Regarding Gabriel Vilardi
In the last few minutes, the Winnipeg Jets have made an important announcement.
The most significant player they acquired in the trade of Pierre-Luc Dubois, Gabriel Vilardi, has just agreed with them!
A new contract for Vilardi in Winnipeg!
Knowing how much difficulty they are having signing players these days, this is very good news for them.
Thus, Vilardi and the Jets avoid arbitration, by signing a contract of two seasons and with an average annual value of 3.44 million dollars.
After being traded in a major transaction in 2021, from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Winnipeg Jets a few weeks ago, the Quebecois Dubois has been involved in another substantial trade, this time between the Jets and the Los Angeles Kings.
In exchange for Dubois, Winnipeg acquired:
- Gabriel Vilardi
- Alex Iafallo
- Rasmus Kupari
- 2nd round pick 2024.
Today, they secure the services of Vilardi, who unlike Dubois, has agreed to sign there.
Details to follow.
