Trade involving the Habs and Ducks for Trevor Zegras? A home run has just been proposed to Kent Hughes by observers
After experiencing an excellent start to the season, the Anaheim Ducks have lost more games lately.
Despite this downturn, the organization's young players are still finding success this year, including Mason McTavish and the second pick in the last draft, Leo Carlsson.
McTavish has already collected 21 points in 20 games, while Carlsson has managed to score 9 points, including 6 goals, in 14 games, even though he doesn't play every night. Not to forget the excellent performance of Frank Vatrano, with 13 goals, and also the play of young defenseman Pavel Mintyukov in his first NHL season.

However, as reported by my colleagues at Fanadiens.com, it's a different story concerning Trevor Zegras.
Caught in a contractual dispute before the season, the young American forward signed a new contract with terms that will earn him $5.75 million for the next three years. However, as they say in Quebec, the puck is not rolling for him this season.
In 12 games, he has scored only one goal and one assist, but at the time of writing, his name was still on the injured list.
One might wonder: is Trevor Zegras still part of the Ducks' future plans?
It's premature to answer this question, as since his absence from the lineup, Anaheim has only won two out of nine games, and his offensive talent would be a significant asset for the team.
With the emergence of McTavish and the presence of Carlsson, both center players, it's a valid question whether Zegras is still in Pat Verbeek's plans. It's likely that some of his counterparts across the NHL have already called the former Whalers of Hartford player to inquire about the availability of one of the league's most spectacular players.
